Fire Erupts at Tata Electronics’ Manufacturing Facility in Tamil Nadu
A fire broke out at Tata Electronics’ manufacturing facility near Hosur, Tamil Nadu, on Saturday morning, affecting over 1,500 workers present at the site. The blaze reportedly originated in the mobile phone accessories painting unit, prompting emergency protocols that ensured all employees were safe.
While three workers exhibited respiratory issues and were taken to a private hospital, they are now stable. This incident coincides with Tata Electronics preparing to launch production at its iPhone assembly plant in Hosur, which is expected to create around 35,000-40,000 jobs and significantly bolster the local workforce. The plant is part of a ₹6,000 crore investment.
